Admissions

In accordance with the Roman Catholic Church of Phoenix, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School admits Catholic and non-Catholic students of any race, color, national origin or gender to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to any of its students.

New families must complete an Application for Admission and submit it along with the most recent report card and standardized test scores. The Application for Admission will be reviewed and once openings are established, a testing date (if applicable) is scheduled. Other details regarding the application process are noted on the Application for Admission.

Typically open enrollment for our school takes place each March; families are encouraged to start the application process in January. Upon acceptance into our school, the enrollment process will be initiated. We believe in providing new families with as much information as possible as they join our school community, including partnering new families with a mentor family.

Criteria

Students are admitted into the program based on the following criteria:

  • Siblings of current students
  • Children of registered, active and contributing parishioners of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish
  • Children of registered, active and contributing Catholics of other parishes without a parish school
  • Children of others not listed above
Catholic families who are moving from out of town and are currently attending a Catholic school will be brought in at in-parish category if they enroll in our parish and if an opening is available in the applicable grade level.

Tuition

The tuition schedule is published each year approximately in February. Tuition assistance is offered through CEA (Catholic Education Arizona) and other tax credit programs. All parents must apply through FAIR (Financial Aid Independent Review) in order to receive assistance through CEA. Families have the opportunity to reduce their tuition by participating in our Scrip program.
